Royalty Pharma is the largest buyer of biopharmaceutical royalties, acquiring royalty interests from academic institutions, research hospitals, non-profits, small and mid-cap biotech companies and large global pharmaceutical firms. It earns payments tied directly to the top-line sales of more than 35 marketed therapies, and it also funds late-stage clinical trials and product launches in exchange for future royalties. Its counterparties are drug innovators seeking upfront capital.
