whatsmovingnow watches US-listed stocks for price moves that are unusual for that particular stock, and then searches public sources — SEC filings, newswire releases and the open web — for information published around the same time. It shows you the move and what it found.

Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. We are not a licensed financial adviser, broker or dealer, and we are not registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, or any other regulator.

A move being flagged does not mean anything is wrong, and an explanation appearing next to a move does not mean it caused the move. The detector is statistical: it measures how unusual a price move is against that stock's own history, and it will sometimes flag ordinary moves and miss important ones. The explanations are gathered automatically and may be incomplete, irrelevant, out of date, or simply wrong.

Decisions you make with your own money are yours. Do your own research, and take professional advice if you need it.

We do our best, but we do not warrant that the data is accurate, complete, timely, or continuously available. Price data reaches us through a third party and can be delayed, revised, or missing. Corporate actions such as dividends and splits can make historical figures look inconsistent.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. If we permanently discontinue a paid feature, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid for it.

One account per person. Keep control of the email address on your account — anyone with access to it can sign in. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You may read the feed, use the filters, and keep a watchlist for your own use. You may quote or link to individual pages.

You may not scrape the site in bulk or with automated tools, resell or redistribute the feed, share your account, or work around the limits of your plan. We may suspend accounts that do.

The price and billing period of each plan are shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; you keep access until then. We do not refund part of a period you have already started.

Refunds. If the service is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full.

Price changes. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect on your renewal. You can cancel before then.

We link to filings, press releases and news articles on sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what they do with your data once you follow the link.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.
