Golar LNG designs, owns and operates floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessels, liquefying natural gas at sea for gas resource owners, national energy companies and international majors who want to monetize stranded or offshore reserves. It charters these units under long-term contracts of up to 20 years, with operations offshore Cameroon, Mauritania and Senegal, and planned deployment in Argentina. The company has exited its legacy LNG shipping business to focus solely on FLNG infrastructure.
